Joe has spent the last 20 years in digital marketing both as an entrepreneur and investor. He co-founded Canvas on Demand in 2003 and drove his company to become the leader in the on-demand printing marketplace, taking it from a startup to the INC 500 list of fastest growing companies in America. This earned him a spot as a finalist in the Ernst and Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year Awards.
Prior to Canvas on Demand, Joe was Director of Sales for Art.com and has been involved in numerous successful technology start-ups. In September of 2010, Joe sold his company to online custom products leader CafePress, where he continued his role as its Chief Marketing Officer until 2013. He helped take CafePress public in 2012 and led five successful acquisitions. Joe now helps other entrepreneurs achieve crazy and wild dreams through his investment and guidance at www.tomandjoe.com. Currently he is involved with: GetStealz.com, FotoSwipe, CulturesForHealth.com, FilterEasy.com, Southtree.com, and Ice.com.
In 2013, Joe changed his focus to applying his online expertise to the global abolition movement. He founded the Audacity Factory, a non-profit incubator and accelerator for organizations fighting modern slavery. The Factory’s first venture was a crowdfunding website, ENDcrowd.org. In 2016, Audacity took the helm of Walkfree.org, the world’s largest anti-slavery movement with over 8 million members. Though the Audacity Factory is not a faith-based organization, as a devote Christian, Joe considers everyday he serves those enslaved as an act of faith.
Joe has served NewHope Church for 15 years in North Carolina where he lives with his wife of 18 years and three remarkable daughters.
