Mallorie’s global perspective and interest in human rights and modern-day slavery are due in part to university classes that focused on world hunger, environment, and other global issues. Her research position in pediatric nutrition led her to childcare centers in low-income areas to help improve health outcomes, which inspired her profound interest in children’s issues. She values people’s stories and is saddened that so many in our world are deprived—through circumstance and coercion—of creating the story they deserve. Mallorie dreams of a world where all are free to reach their full potential.
